To Renovate or Not to Renovate!
No matter where you are in the home-selling process, the topic of home renovations and repairs will doubtlessly be raised. That garage whose door sometimes sticks? The lose tile in the downstairs bathroom? The almost-too-old windows? Well, those are all things that will require your attention, and maybe even your money.
After all, a potential buyer is going to be looking at your home through a microscope and with a fine-toothed comb. Any updates or repairs that should have been made prior to listing will be discovered, and the buyers will use it as proof that their (low) offer is the best you'll get.
And, sometimes, they'll be right. So, how can you prepare for this? It's relatively easy.

- If you're working with a Realtor (and, really, you should be!), ask that they complete a thorough walk-through of your home. They'll take note of any possible repair or update that you might be reasonably asked to pay for Kopar At Newton . This is an opportunity for a truly talented Realtor to shine - a working knowledge of dozens of different crafts is necessary here!
- After your Realtor takes stock of your home and its current state of readiness, it's time to discuss what they've seen. Again, remember that your home may mean the world to you, but in this instance it is an asset. In other words, do not bring emotion into the conversation! Your goal here is to understand what your home's potential liabilities are, and how you can best offset them.
- Decide which updates/repairs, if any, must be addressed before listing your home for sale. If you're working with a truly experienced Realtor, they will be able to advise you for the entire process. Now, that doesn't mean they must be an expert in the varieties of Brazilian hardwood. But they should know someone who is! Having strong connections with local businesses will turn into an incredible asset here, and will allow you to work with trusted and trustworthy craftsmen!
